We have a collection of exceptional 5 Star holiday cottages, all privately owned and located in the heart of beautiful Warkworth Village. Warkworth is arguably the most picturesque village in all of Northumberland, well served by several great pubs, restaurants, art galleries and quaint shops. It's designated a Conservation Area and in a unique position close to the beach, yet encircled by the River Coquet. Majestic Warkworth Castle holds a commanding position overlooking the village and can be viewed from most of our cottages. It's also just a short walk to one of the finest beaches in the UK.

Warkworth is centrally placed, making it a perfect base for discovering all of the beaches, islands, castles, historic houses and gardens, cities, towns and villages in our "Secret Kingdom" of Northumbria. We have been assessed for our quality standards by VisitBritain, the English tourist authority and are delighted to have been awarded 5 stars, which is defined as "Exceptional", for all of our properties except Lane End Cottage, which was awarded 4 stars. All of our cottages have also been awarded additional accolades for offering a particularly good facilities and service for cyclists and walkers. Waterside and Tall Trees have also been awarded a "Families Welcome" accolade and Tall Trees has also been awarded a "Welcome Pets" accolade. We have a high percentage of guests who return year after year and offer a loyalty scheme to show our appreciation.

There are wonderful riverside walks alongside the pretty River Coquet, which encircles the village, to watch the abundance of wildlife such as herons, foxes, migrating birds, leaping salmon, swans and we even have seals swimming in our river, having swum up the estuary to discover the delights of Warkworth for themselves! Warkworth has a vast, sandy beach with dramatic dunes and wonderful, far-reaching views up and down the Heritage Coastine. Every one of our properties is situated in the heart of the village. Coquet View, Lane End and Waterside are located on the riverbank with wonderful riverside views, whilst every other property is within yards of the river, the castle and all of the shops, pubs, etc. Without exception they are all in very quiet spots, yet within steps of all the amenities of the village. We can't think of a better place to holiday in Northumberland and we're sure you'll agree with us!

The area is also very popular with bird watchers, as we have several nature reserves close-by, and with cyclists and walkers. We have received "Cyclist Welcome" and "Walkers Welcome" awards from VisitBritain. All of our properties have an excellent range of guide books, explorer maps, 'recommended walks' books and tourist attraction brochures covering the whole area.

We are very happy to accept well behaved children and clean, well-trained pets at all of our properties except Waterside, where children are very definitely welcome but pets are not allowed. All our family sized properties have a selection of DVD's (and videos in some), music, games, toys, PS2 consoles with games and books for children of all ages and have safe, enclosed gardens or patio areas. Coquet View even has a summerhouse full of toys - indoor and outdoor, including a dressing up box - for children. We will be assessed for VisitBritain's 'Families Welcome' and 'Pets Welcome' awards across the remainder of our cottages soon, but are already equipped to the required standards now.
